Short Biography
Loretta Roult is the Director of ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services at Gallaudet University. She also serves as the team leader for ASL Placement Testing, Diagnostic Assessment and Classroom Observation. Born to Deaf parents, Ms. Roult was raised and educated in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Gallaudet University and earned a Masters degree from New York University in 1987. Before her employment at Gallaudet, Ms. Roult had been involved with ASLPI evaluations on a contractual basis and, for more than twenty years, taught ASL and presented on ASL, Deaf culture and Deaf folklore in the greater New York City area and Maryland. She also freelances as a Deaf-blind interpreter. Ms. Roult is a board member of the Frederick American Sign Language Teachers Association (FASLTA) and is active in many civic and community activities. She was Entertainment Chairperson for the Deaf Women United (DWU) 2005 conference in Maryland. Ms. Roult researched, developed and wrote the Menstruation Monologues, which has been performed at a number of local venues throughout the metropolitan area as well as select appearances nationwide. Ms. Roult has also served as a workshop chairperson for the Maryland Association of the Deaf (MDAD). She currently resides in Frederick, Maryland with her husband, two daughters and two dogs.

Short Biography
Leticia Arellano is an ASL Proficiency Evaluator at ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University. Born to Deaf parents in Cd. Juarez, Mexico and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Ms. Arellano graduated from the New Mexico School for the Deaf and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in ASL Studies from Gallaudet University in 1994. After earning a Master's degree in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College in 1998, Ms. Arellano worked in deaf schools as a teacher and has traveled nationally and internationally providing workshops on Deaf Culture, ASL, Mexican Sign Language (LSM) and the evaluation and assessment of signed languages.

Short Biography
Jean M. Gordon is an ASL Diagnostician at ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University. Ms Gordon graduated in 1984 from Gallaudet University with a major in Psychology and received her Masters degree in Teaching American Sign Language (ASL) from Western Maryland College in 1991. She continues her education taking post-secondary courses in linguistics, language acquisition and assessment. Prior to attending Gallaudet University, Ms. Gordon attended the Boston School for the Deaf and Newton North High School in Massachusetts. Prior to her employment at Gallaudet, Ms. Gordon taught ASL in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Under the World Deaf Leadership fellowship, she taught courses and led seminars at Ratchasuda College in Thailand to prepare Thai Deaf people to become Thai Sign Language Teachers and has taught in Vietnam. Ms. Gordon has led workshops in the areas of ASL teaching and evaluation at conferences and post-educational settings nationally and internationally.

Short Biography
Keith Gamache, Jr. (KJ) is a Diagnostician for ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University. Born to Deaf parents in California, Keith grew up in mainstreamed settings and graduated from California School for the Deaf in Riverside. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and a master’s degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He maintains a professional ASLTA certification and a CDI certification. He has taught courses in ASL, Deaf Studies, and Interpreting for fifteen years, and is a freelance interpreter. He has experience evaluating ASL teachers and interpreters for an array of organizations. He has given numerous workshops nationwide related to ASL studies. He is married with four children.

Short Biography
Tamer Mahmoud is the Technology and Media Technician for ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University. Raised in the Great Plains of St. Louis, Missouri, Tamer went on to study Information Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007. The next five years marked a journey as he explored various aspects of his career ranging from working with non-profit organizations, retail stores, and corporate business before finally securing a position at Gallaudet University. He is still studying and learning various programming languages, video managements and editing, and keeping abreast of the latest technology innovations.

Short Biography
Marti Edelman Kellner is the Business Operations Coordinator for ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University. Ms. Kellner has been employed at Gallaudet University since 1994. She is also a nationally certified freelance interpreter in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Kellner spent her formative years in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where she completed training in Paralegal Studies. While working at a prestigious West Palm Beach law firm, Ms. Kellner began taking evening ASL classes at a local community college and developed a fascination with the language. She later completed an interpreter training program at Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Alabama. After relocating to Washington, D.C., Ms. Kellner completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and is currently exploring Master's programs.
