Adult Degree Program Online Courses
Gallaudet University recognizes the need for a global, accelerated, quality online degree program for adult learners who otherwise would not be able to attend face-to-face classes. The Adult Degree Programs are designed to meet the needs of these learners who may have other obligations that deter them from attending the University such as distance, financial hardship, family and/or professional obligations. Currently, Gallaudet is in the process of establishing online programs within each department. Until then, students will be taking online courses through a consortium of universities and colleges at Gallaudet costs.Online Courses
There are two types of Gallaudet online courses: (1) those offered at Gallaudet University and taught by its faculty, and (2) those offered through the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities (OCICU) --of which Gallaudet is a participating institution. Adult learners seeking online courses will be advised accordingly. Most online courses are offered in an eight-week, accelerated format throughout the year. Online courses are available from the current list of Gallaudet University Online Courses or through the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges & Universities (OCICU)/Gallaudet University. Students are to check out the Gallaudet University online courses first. If the desired online courses are not available at Gallaudet University, then they can be checked out at the OCICU/Gallaudet University webpage.
