2008 Library Progress Report

The 2008 Library Progress Report includes actions by the Gallaudet University Library since Program Review Reports in 2001 and 2003.

The report summarizes actions on seven (7) recommendations for improving the Gallaudet Library made in the 2001 Library Program Review Report. The recommendations include:

  1. Develop and implement a plan for fixing the building.
  2. Secure funding to support all Library missions.
  3. Lead university efforts to develop information literacy on campus.
  4. Strengthen communication inside and outside the Library.
  5. Embrace technology as an integral part of the Library mission.
  6. Use ACRL standards to plan and assess Library activities.
  7. Other recommendations.

Significant progress has been achieved on all seven (7) recommendations, and new energies are being directed to improving Library services and resources.
