Visiting Researcher Program

The Visiting Researcher Program at Gallaudet University was established to accommodate a limited number of professors, researchers and scholars who wish to use the facilities at Gallaudet University each academic year. The Global Education and Scholar Services works closely with academic departments and faculty members to extend its resources on a selective basis in the spirit of institutional collegiality, fostering knowledge and exchange of information.

Ms. Goedele De Clerck is a PhD student from the University of Ghent, Belgium and is a Visiting Research Scholar at Gallaudet University. Her research is on transnational commonalities in Deaf people’s lives.

 Dr. Choi is a Visiting Researcher with a long list of credentials. Hailing from South Korea, Dr. Choi has served as the Director of the School of Special Education, Chair of Elementary Special Education at Daegu University, and is now currently the Chair of the Graduate School of Special Education and the Director of the Research Foundation for Deaf Education and Rehabilitation. Dr. Choi's field of interest and research is the concept of bilingual and bicultural education.
