Business Registration
There are a few things that you need to be aware of as you return this semester.
Before coming to register, you will need to check your account on Bison and make sure that you do not have any holds. If you have any holds, you will not be allowed to go through the registration process. The types of holds you may need to take care of are as follows:
Library hold
Debts (all debts must be paid prior to registration)
Student Health Service (SHS) hold
Any other type of hold that appears on your Bison account
Prior to Business Registration, all international students must visit the Office of International Programs and Services to check in and fill out the required forms for the Spring Semester. Please bring all of your immigration documents for verification, including:
Your form I-20 or DS-2019
Your I-94 (the white card)
Your passport
If you do not have an I-20 form or DS-2019, you need to submit one of the following:
A copy of any official visa, such as a G-4 or 1-A or E-1
A copy of your green card (If you do not have a green card, you must bring official documentation stating that it is being processed or has recently been approved).
Copies of your immigration documents that are required by the USA government are to be kept in the International Services files. If you do not have, or forget to bring any of the above documents, you will not be allowed to complete Business Registration.
If your Form I-20 or DS-2019 has expired or is lost, or your passport has expired, you must report it to ISS, or you will not be allowed to register. Once ISS verifies your current immigration status, you will be allowed to register. At this point you will receive a sticker for your Gallaudet ID card that confirms your completion of this process.
