Change of Address Notification Requirement

If you change your residential address (the location where you live), you are required by the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to update your address within 10 days of the change. Every time you move or change your residential address, you must report your new address to the Office of International Programs and Services. 

“Residential” address means the address where you live. Post Office (P.O.) boxes or work addresses are not acceptable. A zip code is required by SEVIS. The zip code must be limited to 5 digits.

If you move, please complete the change of address form to notify to the Office of  International Programs and Services (OIPS) of the change. If you have any questions about reporting your change of address, please contact your International Student Advisor (for F-1 students) or the GCE Specialist (for J-1 students).

Note: The Form AR-11SR is no longer required of F-1 and J-1 visa holders provided the change is reported in the SEVIS system.
