Student Employment
STUDENTS
All job postings received by the Career Center from on and off-campus employers are posted on the Bison CareerLink (BCL). To start your job search, log-in to your BCL account and click on “Job Postings”. For off-campus jobs, follow the application process listed in the job announcement. For on-campus jobs, pick up an application from the Career Library (SAC 2221) and submit it to the appropriate department.
CAMPUS DEPARTMENTS
To post part-time, on-campus jobs for current Gallaudet students, go to the Career Center’s webpage, www.careercenter.gallaudet.edu. First click on “Employers”, and then click “Bison CareerLink”. Select “Register and Post Job”. This is where you will fill in all information pertinent to your department and the position that you want to post. Once you have registered, you will receive a password. This password will give you access to BCL allowing you to post available positions and remove them once they are filled. It’s quick and easy to do. If you need further assistance, contact Stephanie.Walden@gallaudet.edu.
MORE INFORMATION
Individual departments post available part-time, on-campus jobs for students on Bison CareerLink (BCL). Students can pick up job applications from the Career Library (SAC 2221) and submit them to the department(s) who have advertised on BCL. Departments make the decision on what students will be interviewed, when and how they will conduct interviews, and who will be hired. Students in search for on-campus employment are referred to BCL. The Career Center encourages departments to advertise all on-campus student employment via BCL in order to give students a “One Stop” location to look for part-time employment. Student employment guidelines including recommended wage scales are available to departments and students through the Career Center (SAC 2221) or via email: Stephanie.Walden@gallaudet.edu.
