2009 CAID Conference and other training opportunities
The Clerc Center is excited to be co-hosting the 2009 Council of American Instructors of the Deaf (CAID) Conference, from June 22-26, 2009 on the Gallaudet University campus! Register now to participate in workshops, network with fellow professionals, and learn about current trends in the field!
Pre-conference institutes are available for June 22 and 23. These training workshops are FREE for CAID conference participants and available for a registration fee for non-conference participants.Workshops include:
- See the Sound: Visual Phonics Workshop
- Sharing Books Using ASL and Deaf Cultural Literacy Practices: Preschool-Grade 8
- Going with the Resistance: A Paradoxical Approach to Power Struggles with Teens
- American Sign Language, English and Math: How Does It All Jive?

The Clerc Center is also hosting the second biannual National Deaf Athletic Directors Conference on June 21-23 of that week. This conference immediately precedes the National CAID conference (see above). Registration packages for both conferences are available.
