Pictures from International Awareness Week
MSSD students celebrated the world's cultures during International Awareness Week, March 9-14, 2009. During International Awareness Week each year, students learn about growing up in other cultures from guest speakers, see fashions worn in other countries, and experience games, dances, and events celebrated outside of America.
The highlight of the week is always the International Food Festival. Teachers and staff members from each department at MSSD enjoy selecting a country or world region and contributing a dish common to that region. It never fails; students eagerly line up in the Eagle Zone before the opening time to be the first to savor new flavors.
