Odyssey magazine to focus on research to practice

The Clerc Center's Odyssey magazine features articles about issues important to educators and other professionals who work with  deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. Each issue centers on a specific theme. The 2012 issue of Odyssey, which comes out in May, will focus on research to practice.

While much has been written about research focusing on K-12 education, there is only a small body of research focused specifically on the education of deaf and hard of hearing children. With schools across the country being asked to make accountability and outcomes a top priority, it is essential that administrators and educators employ practices that can be successfully replicated. The new issue of Odyssey will include contributors from around the country from a variety of educational settings. The writers will share how they employ effective and proven strategies and practices in the instruction of deaf and hard of hearing students.
