Kaitlin Luna is the Coordinator of Media and Public Relations in Gallaudet University's Office of Communications and Public Relations. The focus of her job is getting Gallaudet University in the news, both domestically and internationally. Her other main duties include writing speeches and press releases, coordinating events on-and-off campus, promoting events at the university, writing stories for the university website and various publications, and serving as the administrator for the official Gallaudet Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Ms. Luna's career has spanned several industries and regions. She was a Communications Manager for The Knowland Group, a technology company in Washington, DC. While living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the Deputy Press Secretary and Website Manager with the "Diane Denish Governor of New Mexico" campaign. In addition to her work in the public relations field, Ms. Luna has more than four years of experience in television news as a reporter, writer, photographer, editor, and fill-in anchor. She was a reporter for KRQE-TV in Albuquerque and for WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland. She also was an associate producer for WHEC-TV in her home town of Rochester, New York.
Ms. Luna earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Culture and Communication from Ithaca College in 2006.
