Electronic Emergency and Incident Alert Systems
It is becoming increasingly important to be aware of incidents in our immediate area. Fortunately, technology has progressed to the level where immediate transmission of information is possible.
Both Gallaudet University and the government of the District of Columbia manage alert systems to subscribing students and citizens. These systems are Gallaudet Alert and Alert DC. It is important to note that one must subscribe to the services to receive notices. The services are free. Contact information is confidential and is not shared.
If you want to be quickly alerted to university closures, health-related issues, and major crisis alerts and emergencies at the university and in DC, it would be a good idea to subscribe to both services.
Please see Gallaudet Alert for more information.
All Gallaudet Alert service issues should be directed to Information Technology Services (I.T.S.) as that is the department responsible for its maintenance. Please use Help Desk to report problems.
Immediate information can assist you in making immediate decisions concerning your safety. Register today!
