Andrea Shettle wrote and edited for the Executive Office of the World Bank for five years and is currently working with the the United States International Council on Disabilities (USICD) as a program manager.
While at Gallaudet Andrea coordinated the initial work of gathering information for Gallaudet's World Deaf Information Resource Project during an internship for Gallaudet's International Development program. Since 1998, she has run Deafintl, a listserv for deaf people and their allies in developing countries, and she also runs, We Can Do, a blog on issues related to international development and human rights among people with disabilities in developing countries,which receives more than 13,000 hits each month.
