Caitlin Hudson is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has a BA in International Studies from American University here in DC. While she was there, she had the opportunity to study politics and revolution in Cuba through a study abroad program. After college, she moved to Kenya as a Behavior Change Communication Peace Corps Volunteer, where she worked on developing HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention materials and campaigns for the deaf community and helped to open the 4th high school for the deaf in Kenya. While there, she was evaluated due to post election violence, but returned to finish out the 2nd year of her tour on the southern coast in the city of Mombasa.
