
K-leigh Shaw came from Arizona and did her internship at the Global Partnership for Disability and Development which is a global initiative to strengthen international cooperation to accelerate the integration of disability issues and considerations into mainstream social and economic development efforts.
She then did her internship experience at Amnesty International, creating materials specifically on the rights and current situation of people with disabilities.
Currently, K-leigh is working as a Case Manager with the International Rescue
Committee assisting Bhutanese Deaf refugees become acclimated and settled in their new American home at the International Rescue Committee.
