Megan grew up in Washington State, and enjoyed learning about other cultures from a young age. She attended Western Washington University, and graduated with a B.A. in Linguistics with a minor in Political Science. During her time there, she participated in Model United Nations, which gave her the opportunity to research global issues from the perspective of other nations, as well as experience the process of debate and decision-making within international bodies. She also got the opportunity to interact with both Deaf and hearing international students at WWU, which gave her fascinating insights into life in other places.
Megan has spent some time abroad - she spent a summer living and studying in England, as well as a semester volunteering in a residential Deaf school in Jamaica - and is looking forward to traveling and working abroad more in the future.
