Rian Gayle is graduate of the ID Program at Gallaudet. He completed his practicum at Handicap International where he helped to create materials that will help people in developing countries understand the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Most recently, Rian completed an internship in Mumbai, India where he was working with a nongovernmental organization, Mirakle Courier.
Rian is now back in his home country of Jamaica working as a Program Manager with the Jamaica Association for the Deaf and often speaking to groups about the rights of people with disabilities in his country.
He also created and is Chairman of Miss Deaf Jamaica whose purpose among
other things is to help prevent and/or reduce incidents of violence, abuse, oppressions, exploitations, and unemployment at the community level and within the wider Jamaican society through promotion of pageants activities at all levels.
