Linda hails from Indiana and currently resides in Alberta, Canada, where she works as an education consultant for the deaf and hard of hearing for the Inclusive Learning Services - Outreach as Edmonton Public School Board. Linda used to work as a teacher and was acting principal of Alberta School for the Deaf.
Linda has had a long career in the field of interpreting; also works as a sessional instructor for the Sign Language Interpreting Program at Lakeland College, and as a deaf interpreter for the Association of Sign Language Interpreters in Alberta.
Linda was one of the founders of the Early Intervention Program for Children of Deaf Adults (CODA) and she once served as an interpreter for the World Federation of the Deaf. In addtion, Linda has served on numerous boards and committees from being on the executive board of Alberta Association of the Deaf, the Lakeland College Interpreting Diploma Program to the National Sign Relay Services, Canadian Alliance with Ukraine, advisory board of Edmonton Interpreting Services, secretary of Edmonton Association of the Deaf, secretary of Alberta Chapter of the GUAA, and Alberta Chapter Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc, among others.
As a student at Gallaudet, Linda was president of the Phi Kappa Zeta sorority. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to the Deaf community in a myriad of ways.
Linda resides with her husband, Robert Cundy, '76 in Alberta, Canada.
