Nancy is a retired English professor of of the Gallaudet English Department where she has a love for writing. She used to be the chair of the English Department. Nancy also worked as an editor of teaching English to Deaf and Second Language Students. While Nancy was a student at Gallaudet, Nancy was an active participant of Delta Epsilon Sorority. Nancy has been editor for various organizations such as the Maryland Deaf Senior Citizens and Maryland Association of the Deaf. Nancy used to be secretary of Prince George's County Association of the Deaf, and served on the Graduate Fellowship Fund committee. During Nancy's tenure at Gallaudet, she received the President's Distinguished Faculty Award, and twice was an award recipient of English Teachers of the Deaf Awards at the Conference of American Instructors for the Deaf.
