Dr. Rosalinda Macaraig Ricasa is an assistant professor at Gallaudet University's English Department. She has a Doctor of Philosophy Degree and a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics from Gallaudet University. Her bachelor's degree is in education with a major in communication arts. Before coming to Gallaudet University, Dr. Ricasa taught language arts to deaf and hard of hearing children for thirteen years in the Philippines, her native land. A Teacher of the Handicapped Scholarship by the Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International in 1990 paved the way for her to come to the United States to pursue a master's degree in linguistics and later a doctoral degree.
