Laureen Obermiller, from Swartz Creek, Michigan, is the Manager of Operations and and has been a member of the GIS team since October, 2007. Laureen has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Gallaudet University. Prior to coming to Gallaudet, she worked as a staff accountant and then a team leader at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) for 20 years. During her tenure at PBGC, she was heavily involved with the organization 'Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Government.'  Along with her work and family, she enjoys knitting and quilting. Laureen currently lives in Boyds, MD with her husband Joe and two children, Maurita and Maverick.
