Folami holds a Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Maryville College and a Master's degree in Interpretation from Gallaudet University. Her certifications include NIC Master, CI, and CT. She began interpreting in 1999 with a local interpreting agency. Her areas of interest include multicultural interpreting, mentoring interpreters, and teaching interpreting. Folami is actively involved in NAOBI-DC and in the not so distant future she hopes to get more involved with Deaf and interpreting communities in Africa.
