Short Biography
Carolyn Ressler has been has been interpreting professionally since 1985 and a staff interpreter at Gallaudet Interpreting Services since 1994. She holds a NIC Master certification, a Specialist Certificate: Legal (SC:L) and has also been RID certified (CI& CT) since 1989. Carolyn graduated with her Masters of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Adult Education with a minor in Sign Language Language Interpreting from the University of Akron. Carolyn has conducted research on and specializes in working in Deaf/hearing interpreting teams. Her areas of expertise include legal/law enforcement interpreting, conference interpreting and other high-profile interpreting work.
