He grew up in suburban NY. He was very involved in sports in high school. After high school he attended New England College and graduated in 1975. He then worked at a variety of jobs including the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf Blind Youths and Adults and as a manager for Burlington Industries. He attended and graduated from Gallaudet with an MA in the Education of the Hearing Impaired. He was hired by Gallaudet in the mid 80's and worked at the Clerc Center as a PC trainer and then as a User Support Technician. For the past year or so he has been working at Gallaudet's main campus as a User Support Technician with the Helpdesk / Media team.
