Barry has worked in the field of television production since 1980 when he was a student worker. Soon after his graduation, he became a full-time staff in 1986. His shooting, editing, and producing skills became enhanced when he was involved in virtually all of Deaf Mosaic productions - studio and field. He won the local chapter Emmy Award in the category of the segment producer - Fighting for the Right to Drive - in 1990. He also won the Telly Award for the Gallaudet Recruitment '94 in 1995.
Barry is originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth where he still makes the trip at least twice annually. He follows the Civil War 150 & War of 1812 (200th anniversary), enjoys various multicultural celebrations on campus and off campus (locally), and visits galleries and museums.
