Short Biography
Amy Stevens has been a member of the Gallaudet community since 2002 and currently is a member of the General Studies faculty. She has developed and taught courses ranging from digital art, design, and layout, typography, production design, West African and African American art aesthetics and interdisciplinary classes. She has served as a member of the Linda K. Jordan Gallery committee, a steering committee member of the Foundation of Excellence program, and a member of the WORLDEAF Cinema Festival committee. She has served as an internship liaison for art department majors in an attempt to guide students to after-graduation employment.
Ms. Stevens is a board member of a non-profit organization serving D.C. deaf women who experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
