Dr. Baxter graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A in Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2007 and a Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) in 2011. She completed her fourth year residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland where she had the opportunity to provide audiologic and vestibular services for both pediatric and adult patients, conducted newborn hearing screenings and diagnostics, and served on two multi-disciplinary teams: cleft lip and palate and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Dr. Baxter worked clinically providing audiologic and vestibular diagnostic and rehabilitation services for adults at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC prior to joining the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Hearing Enhancement and Dept. of Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences as a research audiologist in June 2012. She has a broad range of clinical and research skills and interests. Dr. Baxter is an active member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and currently serves on the Government Relations Committee in AAA.
