Short Biography
Kristin Cholewa Roush joined the Department of Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences as a Clinical Supervisor-Audiologist in August, 2007. Prior to joining the Gallaudet team, she worked for a large local Otolaryngology practice based in Chevy Chase, Maryland where she provided a full range of audiologic and hearing aid dispensing services to the community including adults and children. Dr. Roush received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University in 2000 and Clinical Ph.D. in Audiology from James Madison University in 2004. Her interests include electrophysiologic diagnostics as well as the evaluation and treatment of balance disorders. She also strives to excel in the selection and fitting of appropriate amplification and assisted listening devices to meet the needs of the members of the community, beyond their hearing loss. She is excited to meet the challenge of learning ASL and improving her communication proficiency. Dr. Roush is a certified active member of both the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).Licensure
