Barbara Stock is the Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Philosophy. She has worked at Gallaudet in the Philosophy and Religion department since 2000. She earned her Ph.D. in philosophy from Syracuse University. Her research and teaching interests include medical ethics, animal rights, the early modern period of the history of philosophy, and connections between philosophy and popular culture. An avid science fiction fan, she believes that every important philosophical question can be discussed by reference to Star Trek.
