Ms. Buchko came to Gallaudet in 2008 with a wealth of corporate experience. She was an industrial engineer with Intel Corporation for three years. She has also worked at International Business Machine (IBM) Corporation and at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and with Motorola Corporation. Currently, she serves as a coordinator for the General Studies. She has developed and taught Quantitative Reasoning courses for liberal arts majors.
Ms. Buchko served as a delegate in Honduras for the Global Reach Out program in Spring 2008. Global Reach Out encourages deaf youths from nations spanning the globe to address social issues that limit deaf populations' opportunities to grow through team-building activities, workshop development, and leadership enrichment.
