Short Biography
I am Blake Campbell Noland and I'm from the Bluegrass state of Kentucky! I was born in a rural part of the state but I was raised in the city of Louisville. I have been in oral mainstream programs all of my life and I have worn a cochlear implant since I was young. I was also exposed to signing at a young age.Things began to change when I entered high school and became part of the deaf program. I was more exposed to ASL (American Sign Language) and had an opportunity to explore my “Deaf Identity.” Graduating from high school and being accepted to Gallaudet University was a big turning point in my life. I found myself immersed in a Deaf world with a rich and dynamic culture. I am loving every bit of it! I am currently a senior, majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Photography.
I love to explore different places and be exposed to different kinds of experiences. My dream is embark on a long road-trip across the country and visit as many states and cities as I can!
My favorite Quote:
“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.”
