Short Biography

Mark Weinberg is an Associate Professor of French at Gallaudet University's Dept. of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures. Mr. Weinberg, a native of New York City, attended Queens College of the City University of NY as well as the Yale University Graduate School. His junior year was spent abroad at the Université de Montpellier (France). His primary concentration was in French language and literature, with a secondary background in Spanish and Italian. (He has also picked up the rudiments of Latin, Russian and Hebrew.) He began teaching at Gallaudet in 1978. Since that time, he has cultivated interests in bilingualism, linguistics, ASL, foreign language pedagogy, and computer-assisted/computer-based instruction.
