Welcome to GallyPay
E-billing –SFS will go green by no longer distributing and mailing paper bills to your campus mailbox and home address. Students will be notified via Gallaudet email accounts that a new bill is ready for viewing/printing and payment.
Third party account access - Students will have the option to grant secure third party access to the student’s account for e-billing, viewing, printing and/or making payments. The third party can be a parent, relative, guardian, sponsor or other person. The authorized third party will also receive an email when a new bill is ready for viewing/printing and payment.
E-payments – SFS is excited to offer a new service which will allow secure e-payments from a checking or savings account at no charge.
Credit card payments– During the 2009-2010 academic years, credit card companies charged Gallaudet over $50,000 in credit card transaction fees. This expense has been paid out of tuition revenues and thus reduced the dollars available for programs and services available for all students. Since the credit card payments are less than half of all payments on students’ accounts, it is clear that this has been a substantial use of Gallaudet’s resources which did not benefit the student body equally. In an effort to control the rising costs, Gallaudet cannot continue to justify paying the credit card processing fees. The University is still committed to providing flexible payment options and has contracted with an external service provider, NelNet Business Solutions, to accept and process credit card payments.
Gallaudet no longer accepts credit card payments for student accounts via the telephone. Instead, the payments must go through GallyPay using American Express, MasterCard or Discover credit card. However, the use of a credit card will require a 2.75% convenience charge to be posted as a separate charge to the credit card bill. Unfortunately, VISA’s Association rules do not permit service fee assessments unless Gallaudet agrees to add service charges to the e-check payments. Thus Gallaudet, like many other colleges and universities, will no longer accept VISA. To ensure that we will have an option to make an online payment without a convenience charge, Gallaudet will not charge a convenience charge for the e-payments from checking or savings accounts.
Below are instructions to access GallyPay System. We hope that you will find it convenient to use at any time. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please contact the Student Financial Services at 202-651-5145 or email student.accounts@gallaudet.edu.
