The Graduate School and Professional Programs (GSPP) is one of two schools (GSPP and CLAST) providing both undergraduate and graduate programs for students at Gallaudet University. There are nine
academic departments housed in GSPP:

While the majority of the GSPP programs are graduate programs, there are four departments that offer undergraduate majors:

In addition to academic departments, GSPP includes the Gallaudet Research Institute, the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Graduate Admissions Office, and the National Science Foundation Science of Learning Center, VL2 (Visual Languages and Visual Learning). The Dean of GSPP serves as Budget Unit Head of the school with budget and supervisory responsibility for all listed graduate departments and programs.

As of August, 2011, these units, formerly within CPSO, have moved to the GSPP:
- The Burstein Leadership Institute
- The Language Planning Institute and the Center for American Sign Language/English Bilingual Education and Research
- The Program Support Unit has been renamed the Center for Continuing Studies (CCS)
- American Sign Language Programs
- The Office of Bilingual Teaching and Learning
