GSPP Dean's Office
|
The dean serves as the Budget Unit Head for GSPP with budget and supervisory responsibility for the school. The dean of GSPP also serves as the dean of the graduate school. Eight GSPP and four CLAST departments (ASL and Deaf Studies, History, Psychology, and Social Work) offer a total of thirty graduate programs, including five Certificate programs, sixteen Masters degree programs, three Specialist programs, and six doctoral programs (one clinical and five Ph.D.). The dean of the graduate school works closely with the assistant dean for graduate school curriculum, policies and operations and the Council on Graduate Education (CGE), a faculty legislative council, to ensure the quality of graduate education at Gallaudet. In addition, the graduate dean advocates for graduate programs, faculty and students in both GSPP and CLAST. Professional Education Programs (PEP) at Gallaudet University are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the dean of GSPP serves as head of the common governance structure known as the PEP Unit. |
