Professional Education Programs (PEP) Unit
Professional Education Programs (PEP) at Gallaudet University are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the dean of GSPP serves as head of the common governance structure known as the PEP Unit. All but two of these programs reside in GSPP: nine undergraduate teacher preparation programs in general education, the M.A. in Deaf Education, the M.A. in School Counseling. The two remaining programs are the M.S.W. in School Social Work and the Psy.S. in School Psychology, both housed in CLAST. The PEP Unit has a curriculum review committee (PEP-C) as well as a long-term PEP planning committee that supports in the critical area of Diversity.
