Notice of Service Phase Out

Academic Technology developed a home-grown video storage server called MyMedia back in 2006. MyMedia has been depreciated in the favor of using other web services such as YouTube, Vimeo, and others. These services are free and offer a wide range of choices that will serve better the needs of our community.

The service has been disbanded on June 4, 2010. While you may download, view, and add captions to current assets on the media server, no new media will be allowed to be uploaded. Video already uploaded to MyMedia in the past, will continue to play back; however, users are again encouraged to make use of alternative services. We have developed a link between YouTube and the Ingeniux CMS for web works by the way of the Video Tab.

However, we will continue to support streaming media for your website or online course.  If you have some video clips that need to be placed on the MyMedia server, please make a request via Help Desk and we will consider your request and upload them.
