Respondus offers assessment applications for instructors that enhance online learning. Respondus and StudyMate are highly integrated with Blackboard, making it easier for instructors to create and manage online materials. Respondus is a powerful application for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard.

Respondus LockDown Browser

Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that provides a secure testing environment within Blackboard. Students are locked into the assessment process and are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications on their computer.

StudyMate Class

StudyMate Class helps students “master the basics” of course material through the use of learning activities within Blackboard. Instructors and students enter facts or sample questions that are transformed into a variety of learning activities for practice and study.

StudyMate Author 2.0

StudyMate Author is an authoring tool that lets instructors create 10 Flash-based activities and games using four simple templates. The Flash activities are usable with any web server or can be published directly to Blackboard. StudyMate Author can also generate activities for iPods.
