The annual H Street Festival, which took place this year on Saturday, September 15, only a few blocks from Gallaudet University, was an event for the local community to come together for performances, art, music, booths, and plenty of food!
Gallaudet cheerleaders kicked off the festival at 11:45 a.m. by performing the Star Spangled Banner in ASL on the 8th Street stage and, this year, performances by students, staff, and faculty took place at the 13th Street stage. Festival events took place between the 800 and 1400 block of H Street, NE.
Gallaudet University was pleased to be involved in the H Street Festival and organizers anticipated about 70,000 attendees this year.
