A 17-member Task Force on Health Care Careers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community was announced by Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) at a May 19 press conference held at the U.S. Capitol.
The task force is made up of representatives from four institutions: Gallaudet University, National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the University of Rochester Medical Center, and Rochester General Health Systems.
