Provides web applications development and programming for web-based and other applications in the Gallaudet University web content management system (CMS); creates schemas and stylesheets for web content; creates data base applications and interfaces them with the CMS for easy creation and management of data; creates asset management solutions for images, documents, and media; develops applications and scripts that integrate various web services into a unified end-user experience including SSO; defines project scope and technical requirements; and develops applications for other units within Gallaudet Technology Services and for the University.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, web development/design or related fields and three years of experience in web programming and development. (Seven years of direct experience with an emphasis on systems integration may be substituted for Bachelor's degree). Extensive web development experience. Knowledge of web applications, including Ingeniux Content Management System (CMS) and development tools. Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System and applicable Blackboard Building Blocks. In-depth knowledge of various programming languages including but not limited to Visual Basic, .NET, PHP, Perl. Experience in technology training with users of varying skills. Fluency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn.
