What do I do if I get married?
Health Insurance
When you have a change in family status, including a change in marital status, you may enroll, change from self only to self and family, or change from one plan option to another. You must submit your enrollment change from 31 days before to 60 days after the change in family status.
The enrollment form is available here. The form is also available in the Benefits Office, College Hall room 114, or in the main HRS Office, room 106.

University Dental Insurance
If you have a change in family status, including a change in marital status, you may enroll your spouse and any eligible children. You must submit an enrollment from no later than 60 days after the change in marital status.
The enrollment form for the University Dental insurance is available here, in the Benefits Office, College Hall room 114, or in the main HRS Office, room 106.

Life Insurance
If you have the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), you may increase the amount of your life insurance coverage within 60 days of the date of your marriage. You may also add family coverage for your spouse and any newly acquired children. The election form is available online, in the Benefits Office, College Hall room 114, or in the main HRS Office, room 106.
If you have the University's private life insurance, you may increase the amount of your life insurance coverage within 31 days of the date of your marriage. You may also add family coverage for your spouse and any newly acquired children. Beneficiaries
You may change beneficiaries for life insurance, retirement and TSP at any time. These forms are available in the Benefits Office, College Hall room 114, or in the main HRS Office, room 106. You may also contact the Benefits Specialist to send you the forms through email.
