The HSLS Department maintains a computer lab for the use of our students. This lab, located in the James Lee Sorenson Language and Communication Center (SLCC) #2232, is equipped with computers, a network printer, and other items you may need to assist in your research and/or document preparation.
Additionally, our labs and Hearing and Speech Center feature state-of-the-art technology.
Financial Resources
Along with a variety of financial aid available through the Financial Aid Office at Gallaudet, the department offers:

Student worker positions - work in the clinic office, academic office or assist faculty with research

Teaching Assistant positions - teach undergraduate courses or communication therapy courses

Grant funded tuition assistance and stipends -
- PhD Gallaudet University Cross-Cultural Initiative (GUCCI) - this program is designed to prepare CCC-A certified Audiologists who aspire to become faculty in university clinical audiology programs with an emphasis on awareness of Deaf Culture and cultures of underrepresented (UR) groups, including Native Americans/Alaskan Natives. Acceptance to the program includes a full tuition waiver and an annual stipend. For more information contact Dr Carol LaSasso.
