About the Honors Program

Requirements for Priority Registration

Priority Registration is a process by which students are given an early registration date. For freshman and sophomores, this privilege means you have a chance for popular or high-demand courses.  In order to qualify for this privilege as an Honors Student, please bear in mind that you will need to meet three conditions:
  1. have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.
  2. have not withdrawn from an Honors course during the current semester semester (or previous semester if you are registering late).
  3. intend to register for an Honors course for next semester (or have agreed with the Honors Director to complete an Honors Option Contract, a graduate course, or an upper-level course in the consortium).
