One such student (a Gallaudet alumnus and International Relations staff), Danilo E. Torres is a great example of this. The Office of the President strives to foster the growth of international deaf leaders across the globe. |

As directed by the President of the University, the International Relations team met with a group of deaf students from Malaysia visiting the US with Mobility International USA. The students will be participating in a student exchange program in America and were very eager to see Gallaudet University and meet with students from the university so that they can ask them many questions. |

The Office of the President hosted four Fulbright scholars (Dr. Ihor Kobel-Ukraine, Dr. Xiaoyan Xiao-China, Mr. Cletous Penn-Camaroon and Ms. Ines Gonzalez-Spain) for a meet and greet on January 22nd. In addition to Dr. Hurwitz and the scholars, the Provost of Gallaudet (Dr. Stephen Weiner), the Dean of CLAST (Dr. Isacc Agboola), their respective department heads and staff from the Office of International Programs and Services also took part in the event. |

President Hurwitz always takes time to catch up with his staff. The International Relations team prepared a short presentation for the President to show him all the work we have been doing thus far. Dr. Hurwitz was also given a T-Shirt from the Gallaudet-Beijing Union University Summer 2012 English and ASL Pilot Program by the BUU Leadership Team. The President was very happy to receive the gift and to learn of our activities. |
