Sasakawa Foundation International Scholarship
PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP
The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance to deserving deaf international students who are enrolled in a degree granting program or programs at the university. Preference will be given to students who are residents of developing countries where the Nippon Foundation has active projects aimed at improving the lives of people, including deaf people, at home and possibly around the world. Recipients of this scholarship must have a demonstrated commitment towards returning home upon graduation.

World Deaf Leadership Scholarship
PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP
The World Deaf Leadership (WDL) Scholarship is an endowed scholarship funded by the Nippon Foundation, Tokyo, Japan. The purpose of the WDL Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships to Gallaudet students from developing nations. Gallaudet will select WDL Scholars who demonstrate the ability to become international leaders and make significant contributions to their nation and possibly the world. The scholarship will cover tuition, room, board, and up to two paid internships in the student's home country.
