Sasakawa International Scholarship

My name is Nan Ming from Beijing, China and I am business student majoring in Accounting. I have been elected as Vice President of the Asian Pacific Association and also as Treasurer of the Delta Epsilon Sorority for 2009-2010. I arrived at Gallaudet in 2005 and I plan on graduating in May 2010. My goal is to finish my degree in May 2010. I am looking for an accounting internship either here at Gallaudet or hopefully outside of the university because I want to take advantage of the many enriching opportunities the USA has to offer. In the future I would like to help Chinese deaf people develop resources and be able to show the world that deaf people can succeed.

My Sasakawa Scholarship project is the World Deaf Leadership scholarship and the Sasakawa Scholarship website. The purpose of this website is to promote higher education for deaf people, to let people know there are scholarships available for deaf students for pursuing higher education, and to highlight successful deaf students.
