What is International Relations?
As the unit responsible for international affairs at Gallaudet University, International Relations, within the Office of the President is responsible for assisting and advising the President in developing, maintaining, and leading strategic international relations activities at Gallaudet University to achieve international goals of the Gallaudet Strategic Plan. International Relations assists the President to build a highly respected, visible and recognizable presence for Gallaudet internationally. It also serves as the President's representative in administering and operating the Nippon Foundation scholarship programs. Working with the President, serving as an ambassador for Gallaudet with foreign governments officials, embassies, the U.S. Department of State, international corporations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the International Relations unit will be the central point of contact within Gallaudet for these external international entities.
