Athletics

MSSD takes great pride in having a comprehensive athletics and physical education program. We offer the following sports:

• Fall sports: Cheerleading, football, volleyball, girls' soccer
• Winter sports: Basketball, cheerleading, wrestling
• Spring sports: Baseball, softball, powerlifting, rugby, track and field

Our football team competes in the Capitol Area Football Conference, our wrestling team competes in the Metro Area Wrestling League, and the rest of our teams compete in the Maryland Independent School Athletic League.

Our teams participate in regional and national deaf school tournaments such as the Spike Out volleyball tournament and the Clerc Classic basketball tournament and cheerleading competition. MSSD also periodically hosts regional and national tournaments.
