Obtaining Services for Gallaudet Students

Therapy Services :

If you are a Gallaudet student, getting services is easy.  Just stop by the Mental Health Center, call or send an email to mh.center@gallaudet.edu to schedule an intake appointment.  An intake counselor will meet with you to assess your needs and discuss MHC services and recommendations. You will then be assigned to a counselor who will contact you to schedule weekly appointments. (More Information)

Assessment Services:

If you are a Gallaudet student and need assessment services you can stop by the Mental Health Center to be placed on our waiting list. You will receive a packet of information with forms to fill out. Within a few weeks you will be contacted to schedule an Initial Interview. At this interview the clinician will explain the assessment process to you and tell you approximately how long the wait will be. You also can get information from the clinician about off-campus referrals.
